NEWYPAA stands for New South Wales Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous.

Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous branches of AA exist throughout the world, with 2018 being Newcastle's turn to host the NSW state convention.  Newcastle AA is honoured  to join with Al-Anon who will participate in the convention, just as Lois supported Bill W and Anne supported Dr Bob.

Being young - or just young at heart - and sober is a miracle to be celebrated, with the NEWYPAA2018 Convention being the ultimate way to do just that; celebrate.

A jam-packed two day program of meetings, guest speakers, meditation and fellowship activities will bring young (and young at heart) people from across Australia to Newcastle in Unity.

A vibrant coastal city with awesome beaches, friendly locals, trendy cafe culture and working harbour looks forward to hosting a convention set to be a highlight of your recovery.

See you at NEWYPAA2018 !

Al-Anon's main purpose is to help families and friends deal with the effects that another person's problem drinking had or still has on their lives.

Al-Anon will be presenting a single day program on Saturday 6 October. View the program here

The support and fellowship Al-Anon's give not only each other, but the alcoholic, will be celebrated by their participation in the NEWYPAA2018 Convention. An Adult Children meeting will be a highlight of the Al-Anon convention program.

Of course Al-Anon's are invited to attend any AA program sessions and the Social Event on Saturday night.
